Transportation is now a key element of our way of life. It is estimated that a quarter of CO2 emissions stem from our thirst for mobility. The number of cars on the roads is constantly increasing. Rail, road, and maritime traffic are rapidly expanding and are integral components of our economic model.
The stakes are significant.
In Switzerland, mobility is the subject of numerous debates. What are the figures related to this concept? This presentation provides some of them.
A portion of this conference is also dedicated to the electric car, which appears to want or need to sweep everything in its path. What is the situation? What are the impacts on the environment and our industrial fabric?
