Conference : Presentation of Fedevaco and the Diaspora Award

The Fedevaco is the umbrella organization for the Vaud region, bringing together 50 organizations active in development cooperation. A recognized partner of public entities since 1989, it supports over 80 projects per year, leveraging its expertise for sustainable development, notably through its knowledge-sharing program, project evaluation commissions, and support-coaching groups. It guides organizations and the quality of their projects.

For more than a decade, Fedevaco has been offering the Diaspora and Development Award, a unique support program in the Swiss landscape that unites associations and solidarity-based businesses run by diaspora communities. Over 200 individuals from 120 organizations established in the Canton of Vaud have already received support.

The projects driven by migrant communities are enriching not only for the countries of origin but also for the host countries in terms of knowledge transfer. While their added value is gradually gaining recognition, the engaged organizations still face numerous challenges. As an umbrella organization, Fedevaco clearly has a role to play as a catalyst for synergies among various development actors.

The ^7th Diaspora & Development Award is underway !

The call for projects for the ^7th edition of the Diaspora & Development Award is open until September 30th. An opportunity for newly established associations and businesses.

Fedevaco offers a true year-long adventure that will guide participants in developing their project or project idea related to their country of origin, through a curriculum of free personalized training and coaching. Participants will also have the opportunity to expand their network by connecting with various development actors and social enterprises. Furthermore, three prizes will reward the most promising projects, evaluated by a panel of experts.
